The responsibility for corporate integrity lies with the PCS Board of Directors. To enable the Board to adequately meet its fiduciary responsibilities, the Board will name a Compliance Officer and grants the Compliance Officer authority to receive, thoroughly investigate, and document allegations and/or findings of violations. The Board will also name a Compliance Committee to resolve in a timely fashion any verified violations of its Code of Ethics (the Code), PCS’ policies and procedures, terms of contracts, grants, donations, laws, regulations and guidelines pertinent to the agency’s operations including waste, fraud, and abuse in the use of public resources. The Compliance Officer will submit written reports to the Compliance Committee on a regular and timely basis. Reporting suspected violations is the responsibility of anyone affiliated with PCS: employees, volunteers, contractors, officers, directors, and members of the public. If anyone has a reasonable cause to believe a violation has occurred, they should contact the Compliance Officer. Good faith reports can be made in person, anonymously, verbally, in writing, by telephone, or by email. The statement of concern or complaint should provide as much pertinent data as possible. Contact information will be posted on the PCS website, board roster, and on “whistleblower” posters prominently displayed in all PCS facilities.
