January 06, 2021
TxDOT officials indicated a virtual public workshop is slated for Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. as a means of connecting organizations providing transportation services with their most vulnerable customer populations. Officials noted TxDOT's Amarillo District is soliciting feedback from residents in Potter and Randall counties, as well as Armstrong, Carson, Dallam, Deaf Smith, Gray, Hansford, Hartley, Hemphill, Hutchinson, Lipscomb, Moore, Ochiltree, Oldham, Roberts and Sherman counties.
The effort is seeking participation from seniors; individuals with disabilities; private and nonprofit transportation and human service providers; and other members of the public.
Per TxDOT, the virtual sessions aid in gathering information from local stakeholders while providing participants with an opportunity to learn about local transit provider public transportation programs. Per TxDOT, participants can access the virtual session via the link https://bit.ly/2JMrsSO or join by phone at 1-415-655-0003.
