Poverty Simulation
A Poverty Simulation is intended to bring a greater understanding of the harsh realities and obstacles that exist for our low-income neighbors. We invite you to participate in our simulation to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges that financial shortages and excessive stress create for our community.
The simulation is always an impactful and interactive way to understand barriers in our area. The experience helps rethink what poverty looks like.Participate in a day-to-day life, which may be vastly different than your personal experiences.
Attendees are assigned to a specific role within a family and will live out a month in the life of a low-income family or individual.Simulations generally take three hours. An end-of-simulation debrief helps process the experience.
Groups range between 25 and 80 participants. You may host your own group or join a scheduled simulation. Contact: Christina Cristan by email at Christina.Cristan@panhandlehelp.org or by calling 806-342-6119
